I have been staying with my brother all week. He lives in Northumberland. I haven't had access to a computer but I am laboriously typing this on my phone. I am slow at finger-typing.

He and his wife have really spoiled me all week. They decided I needed to be coddled and put back on my feet. It's been lovely.

I have been for a lot of long walks. This is a beautiful empty light-filled country. Also they have a sweet little daughter - she was born prematurely 6 years ago. No long term ill effects.

Stupidly yesterday I sprained my ankle on the beach at Bamburgh. I go home today - thankfully train not car. It will be a bit of a challenge to negotiate New Street Station while hopping.

Good news is I got an interview for another lecturing job. That's early tomorrow morning. I will have to drive to that so I hope my ankle is a bit better.

Because I have been away I haven't seen the new Breaking Bad. Slightly scared to go online this morning for fear of spoilers.
