|07:10 pm - ...see the things / that make true happiness|
BBC has been showing a mouth-watering composite trailer (YouTube link):
So many of my favourites in there: John Simm in Exile, Idris Elba in season 2 of Luther (which I hope they have understood what that needs to be like), Shadow Line which I just blogged about. Oh, and Jason Isaacs with his shirt off: who cares what show. And they have made a drama from Sarah Waters Night Watch, which is going to be fantastic I bet.
Bring Me Sunshine
Is just a general clever-clogs celebration of BBC light entertainment, which I think is quite funny. Doctor Who is in both.
Oh, and Jason Isaacs with his shirt off: who cares what show.
Watched the Paranoid trailer. Loved Gwen's bit. :D :D :D
Such a brilliant mouth-watering set of actors and actresses. Wonderful.
Jason Isaacs is in Case Histories; the novel, by Kate Atkinson, just happens to be one of my favourites, and the character that Isaacs is playing, Jackson Brodie, just happens to be one of my literary crushes. Yum.
Yes, I hope Night Watch is going to be awesome.
I have never noticed that book at all - but I do read murder mysteries sometimes - worth getting perhaps on audio. I'll see if they have got it.
I hope they preserve the unique structure of Night Watch. They surely will.
I think I spotted Jim Broadbent in there too. And that clip from Torchwood persuades me to watch it.
Broadbent was in Exile with John Simm - you should try to catch it

Able Was I Ere I Saw Elba?
'I wish I'd said that'
'You will, communicator, you will.'
I think New Torchwood actually might be quite good. But then, I am a bit biased towards thinking it is generally wonderful whatever.
I've been loving those trailers, and yes, that Torchwood clip has persuaded me to give it a couple of episodes to convince me it is not going to be Americanised out of recognition.
Yes, never thought a trailer could make me feel like giving it another chance
I've seen that composite trailer several times, and managed to miss Jason Isaacs. I think I was too excited about a) Torchwood and b) Page Eight (Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz on my telly!) to notice anything else. Thanks for pointing it out!
Isaacs looks gorgeous. But what a great selection in general. I don't know why the best drama is shown in the summer, but I'm not complaining.
My only wish for Luther is that they tone it down a bit with the gruesomely murdered women. Like, every other episode instead of every single one.
Oh, yes, I'd forgotten that. Will they tone it down or make it even more ridiculous. I guess the latter.
