" If you isolate sexuality as something solely for one's own personal amusement, and all you want is the most satisfying orgasm you can get ... homosexuality seems too powerful to resist. The evidence is that men do a better job on men and women on women, if all you are looking for is orgasm... I'm convinced that lesbians are particularly good seducers ... it's pure sexuality. It's almost like pure heroin. It's such a rush... they'll take enormous risks, do anything... Marital sex tends toward the boring end ... it doesn't deliver the kind of sheer sexual pleasure that homosexual sex does."
I think there is a temptation to project one's own sexuality onto other people. Thus we write fanfiction where the guys want to have sex with each other because - hell, that's what we'd do if we were in their shoes. And men think that women have the best time snuggling up with other women because, well, they are all soft and smooth and curvy. What's not to like?
BTW I'm not saying this is a problem. We are having fun, playing. It becomes a problem if you are so out of touch with the imaginative and playful side of yourself that you start to fight against the desire which you have projected outwards onto others. What a tangle that then becomes. Paul Cameron can't imagine anything sweeter than two ladies getting it on. If he was a woman he wouldn't want to do anything else all day. And because it is just a dream it has no limiting factors. In real life you get tired, you get satiated, you calm down after a few hours. It's not like heroin. Eventually you want to do something else. This applies to all types of sexuality (I guess, not having experienced all types).
But the lesbians in Paul Cameron's mind never get tired. They never stop. They aren't real women. They are a self-replicating entity that will eventually take over his whole brain. No wonder he's frightened.
