We founded the UK’s first festival of pervasive games in London in 2007, which is now the Hide&Seek Weekender, taking place every summer on London’s South Bank. We run the Sandpit, a series of events around the UK and a thriving network of artists, game designers and players. And we create social games and playful experiences for clients in the commercial, public and cultural sectors. On Friday I am going to be helping with part of Weekender 2010.
The Hide&Seek Weekender is a free weekend of social games and playful experiences, mostly (but not exclusively) for adults, on London’s Southbank 9-11 July
I will be helping with
one great big hundred-player chasing-across-the-Southbank gameseveral_bees tells me it is about four different 'Londons' occupying the same physical space, each invisible to the other, and each with its own challenges. So it sounds a lot like the premise of 'The City and The City' but with four cities. I asked for a job that didn't involve any, you know, running, so I am going to be guarding a checkpoint by which contestants can pass from one city to another. So, effectively I am going to be part of The Breach. Cool.
I am then going on holiday on Saturday for a week so I might not be able to blog about the experience until after I get back.
