06:34 pm - Election Night Special
I was very proud going to vote with my two children towering over me. The lady said to my daughter 'This must be your first? It's an important one.' She's just six weeks old enough to vote if you see what I mean. The last time the Tories won an election she was about ten weeks old, total.

Well, they may not win, but I'm not expecting much. I made a bet last year and if the Tories get an overall majority I have to hand over a tenner to my son.

I think people don't realise how bloody awful things are going to be now.

Did you see: a guy changed his name and stood in Norman Tebbit's constituency under the name 'None of the Above'. Unfortunately as his surname is 'Above' he appeared at the top of the list. That's gotta hurt.

That 'none of the above' story cheered us up greatly this afternoon!

Let's hope your son isn't £10 richer tomorrow.

I think people don't realise how bloody awful things are going to be now.

Someone on my flist described it as having potential for Buyer's Remorse. But if they are over 25, they bloody well ought to realise.

I have been waking up super-early (like 5am) all week out of anxiety, and here I am, and I still don't understand what's happened. Another election in six months is my guess.

Another election in six months is my guess.

Given what could have happened, giving a Cameron minority the opportunity to demonstrate its incompetence over a few months, as long as they don't screw up the country too much in the process, feels a lot worse than it might.

Oooh, how exciting for your daughter! I always get a thrill from casting my vote.

I suppose Mr Above should change his surname to "the Above". That should get him below Tebbit :)

I'll be watching the results with great interest, and I hope that it works out OK for the people I love.

I love voting, I feel very proud about it. My ex lives in a very posh rural area near Melton Mowbray, and the huntin' and shootin' types there are very bullish about this election, so I had built up this idea that they were about to utterly take over. Doesn't quite look that way this morning.

No! He was asleep when I went to work and now he's gone to visit his girlfriend. But it will be mine. Oh yes.

That was my constituency and I wondered to start with if it was a demonstration of how things were layed out.

(It hasn't been Tebbit's constituency for many years, it's now Duncan-Smith's although he's only slightly better)
