Is it just me, or is that last one really disturbing?
Of course, so's the original show. I find SF stories and alternative histories that just swap men in charge for women in charge a bit annoying. It works much better with fanfiction and other stuff that is anchored in a TV show, for some reason. Perhaps because that's not trying to say anything directly about what 'would be', but making a pointed comment about what we see.
And Mad Men is so sexist. I mean it is about sexist people. Also, I like the bitchy submissive hetero guys in this video. Just as I like the women in Mad Men, operating in a world that is against them. Though perhaps I am reading too much into what is just a jokey video. |
