04:22 pm - They are playing my song
There's a thread on Yglesias today on 'Songs about People called Alison'. Sometimes spelled wrong. My favourite is the one from Elvis C.

BTW have you noticed that almost all 'mediums' on telly programs are called Alison. No idea why.

ETA This is what I've actually been looking at on youtube this afternoon: some Vincent D'Onofrio videos.

I like the way you move
Mad about the boy
Boy from New York City

They aren't 'really good' like 'really well made and edited videos', just collations, but he's a lovely mover.

I love D'Onofrio too. Did you ever see him in Household Saints (1993)? Here is the Netflix summary: "In post-World War II New York, Joseph (Vincent D'Onofrio) wins Catherine (Tracey Ullman) in a pinochle game. They marry and have a daughter, Teresa (Lili Taylor), who becomes a religious zealot as she seeks purity through prayer. But Teresa's boyfriend (Michael Imperioli) and her parents grow perturbed by her obsessive behavior and aspirations of sainthood. Director Nancy Savoca's third film is based on Francine Prose's novel of the same name."

D'Onofrio's character is a butcher, and it's fun to watch him as the earthy flesh-person addressing issues of the spirit.

I've never even heard of it - thanks. I think he's very earthy and embodied. Also he'll more or less do anything on screen.
