Medical emergency - all should be OK

I've just had a phone call from my ex, my son's appendix has popped like mine did 5 years ago. They are in a village near Melton Mowbray. My son has a temperature and is vomiting, and in pain.

My ex is just setting off to drive my son back to Coventry - it's almost the nearest A&E anyway. It should take about an hour. I hope I did right to say get him back here if you can. If things get much worse in the hour then he'll have to find another emergency room, probably Leicester. But I think an hour is OK.

Just letting everyone know. May not be online now for a while.
