Injury forces Tennant from Hamlet: Doctor Who actor David Tennant was forced to pull out of a performance of Hamlet on Monday because of an "ongoing back injury".
I hope it doesn't prove too serious. But by gum they have him leaping about the place. Perhaps they could cut out some of the jumping and diving.
If I'd been in the audience I would have been gutted at missing him - I feel sorry for the understudy, but I don't see how it could have been anything but a disappointment
It's good that they gave Bennett a standing ovation. Somebody said once that the worst bit is when they announce it to the audience, and you hear the big groan. After that, I think they're probably willing you to be good, because they still want to get something out of it.
Wonder if he'll get into the bookies' list for Who now?
I saw that on someone's blog this morning. Apparently at last night's performance Greg Doran made an announcement on stage, saying there's a possibility DT might not be back. Really gutting for people who've been waiting to see him. A couple of friends at work are going tomorrow night and feeling rather sad that they might not see DT.
Might not be back! Poor thing, and poor people who wanted to see him. Oh, I do hope it all clears up.

I have friends at work ditto. Especially as they are not really Shakespeare fans.
