In Bruges

Pretty sure you'll like In Bruges; it's a proper grown-up film. Two Irish hitmen, played by Colin Farrell and Mad-Eye Moody, hide out in Bruges. It starts like Lost in Translation and then it turns into a violent metaphysical Euro-gangster film like Sexy Beast or The Hit. The writing is excellent (the writer/director is a playwright). It is laugh out loud funny in places, and the acting is very good. It's one of those low budget interesting films, that might do well I think. Thanks to korintomichi for the recommendation on the radio to go see it.

Anyway, don't want to give too much away, but look out for the Hieronymous Bosch painting, and I think most lj friends will enjoy this film, as a talky-wordy grown up film.

Fun fact: nice to see people drinking Leffe like I do (Colin Farrell; 'And a gay beer for my gay friend').
