4. I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH! - That was from The Thing by John Carpenter. For some reason I think that's the film I find it easiest to watch and rewatch.
5. The Pentecost... I don't... I don't know what the pentecost is. I guess it means the world ends and guys like you and me march off to hell. That was from Brokeback Mountain. Well, according to imdb, I don't remember that line myself, but I thought it was the best line in the selection they gave (apart from the 'I can't quit you' type quotes which would be too easy)
9. You know, not too long ago I couldn't do that. Could barely take a breath without coughing up a pint of blood. Tuberculosis. That along with fierce headaches... depression... suicidal ambition. I was in pretty horrible shape. In fact I was on my way to a sanatorium to convalesce when a native scout told me a curious story... That was from Ravenous. Robert Carlyle expounding on cannibalism as a lifestyle choice.
The others were from those choice films:
Get Carter
Spirited away
Alien
LA Confidential
The Long Good Friday
The Big Lebowski
Jaws
Blade Runner
Shaun of the Dead
