Last time I went down to London I was reading 'Darkmans' which weighs an absolute ton, and I carried a big coat, and I hated hefting it all around. So this time - no coat just big cardigan, and instead of a book I've downloaded three Victorian horror stories as linked from here.
"The Great God Pan," by Arthur Machen. "The Beckoning Fair One," by Oliver Onions. "Green Tea," by J. Sheridan LeFanu and "The Boarded Window," by Ambrose Bierce.
Then when I've read them I'll throw the paper away, and I won't be loaded down. Particularly because I'm meeting matildabj after.
