Poetry nights

This site lists open-mike poetry nights around Britain.

Here are the two in Coventry, but I don't know how up to date it is. I think the Tin Angel might be closing now it's lost its music license? On the plus side poetry isn't music so I think it's still 'legal'.

The Tin Angel

Open Mic night, First Tuesday of each month,
Medieval Spon Street, Coventry,
7.30pm start.

Liquid Cafe Bar

in the city arcade in the centre of Coventry hosts a poetry night every third tuesday in the month.

This non smoking venue is proving successful with seasoned poets such as BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Poet Laureate Jo Roberts, poetry groups and those new to the poetry arena. Everyone welcome to come along and read, just listen or talk poetry.

8pm start till late

At the moment I have set up this journal so that only friends can comment. I hate doing this, but I was just getting too much Russian spam.
