Ulrich Muhe

Oh, how sad, Ulrich Muhe, who played the Stasi agent in 'Lives of Others' has died. I'd only just heard of him, and now he's gone.

(Muhe claimed that) his first wife, the actress Jenny Groellmann... had been an agent of the Stasifrom 1979 to 1989, spying on him and their fellow actors, a charge Groellmann strenuously denied. A month before her death, she won an injunction to prevent him from publishing a book on the matter.
