'Vivez assez longtemps pour trouver le bon'

Three touching and explicit animations - not remotely safe for work - from the French 'use a condom to fight AIDS' campaigns. For straight men ('my boy lollipop'), straight women ('baby baby' by the Vibrators) and gay men ('Sugar baby love') respectively (that last one is really touching: 'all lovers make / the same mistakes').

I haven't seen the one for girls yet because everyone has come back from lunch and I'm not going to run the clip now

do not watch if you don't want to see explicit imagery.

It's very stop-start on my PC; obviously needs to load a lot before you run it, ideally.

I found that happened with the belligerent tortoise, funnily enough, but this one slid along quite smoothly.

I felt that the straight guy was overly stereotyped. The woman's life felt much more real to any of my experience.

Here's my guess at why the ad agency chose that approach. I think the brief would have been that straight men don't use condoms because of their fantasy of perfect zipless sex, while straight women don't use condoms because they have an image of guilt and shame around having sex outside of 'true love'. So the message for men is 'you can still have all your wild fantasies - just wear a condom, to keep yourself alive to experience more and more' and the message for women is 'you will find the perfect mix of sex and love one day, but keep yourself alive while you are looking for it'.

I hadn't seen the one for women (featuring the black man) when I posted or I would have remarked on the implicit racism. I still would have posted the link, though, because I think the films are interesting and well made, and a lot about the initiative is positive.

I don't agree that it was wrong to show gay bashing though. I think it is a valid part of the 'story of a life'.

I thought the hetero man's experience was supposed to be a series of fantasies going through his mind while he had sex, while the other two were supposed to be real (realish anyway).
