England vs Paraguay

I was more astonished than anything else when we scored so very rapidly. Beckham has a limited range of things he can do, but he does them with almost superhuman skill. I was then rather disappointed in the performance of the team over the ninety minutes. Gerrard worked very hard, and Lampard let loose a few times. But overall, could have come together with more conviction. At least we won, but we'll have to pick up a bit from now on.

I suspect Owen is less fit than we have been told, and that's why he was taken off.

Trinidad and Tobago put up a great performance against Sweden, and our group seems very open at the moment. Throughout the tournament the less favoured and third world sides continue to impress, with Ivory Coast scoring against Argentina.
