Redefining the world

I didn't think it would happen. Kansas school board have agreed that all children in Kansas should be taught creationism in schools, and the board rewrote the definition of science, so that science is no longer 'limited' to the search for natural explanations of phenomena. The new 'Kansas' definition of science will be used to develop student tests.

'The challenged concepts cited include the 'theory' that all life had a common origin and the theory that natural chemical processes created the building blocks of life.'

Next week they redefine mathematics so it is no longer limited to 'getting the right answer to sums'.

The full details of the Kansas redefinition/abolition of science can be found here. This includes a letter from Elie Wiesel and 37 other Nobel Laureates urging the Board to rethink, and a pig-ignorant response from the board of education saying 'We believe the Laureates’ letter clearly seeks to suppress any criticism of evolutionary theory... we believe education should inform, not indoctrinate.' What does that gobshite Wiesel know anyway?
