Top 50 SF films

My, I do love lists, because they bring back happy memories. This one is John Scalzi's '50 most influential Sf films ever'. As always bold=seen. Memed from rozk who has seen almost all of them (not surprising as she wrote one of my favourite books about SF films).

Surprised as some omissions. rozk mentions 'Dark City', yes, and I'd have liked to see 'The Thing' (1983 version) on that list and some Cronenberg (perhaps 'Scanners') and I prefer Terminator to its flashier sequel.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension!
Akira
Alien
Aliens

Alphaville
Back to the Future
Blade Runner
Brazil

Bride of Frankenstein
Brother From Another Planet
A Clockwork Orange
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Contact
The Damned (not sure which film is meant by this)
Destination Moon
The Day The Earth Stood Still
Delicatessen
