You might be interested in this speed reading test. There are two text extracts, and you might like to see if you get different results for each.

Is it pointless? Probably.

I don't think reading fast is any indication of intelligence, though very slow reading might (might) be an indicator of literacy or information-processing problems

Reading with comprehension is more important than the number of words absorbed, and a slower rate might indicate deeper thought, more ideas

I know these cancel each other out.

In which case I conclude that my rate of reading (450-500 wpm, both samples) is optimum and indicates massive intelligence, a witty and open-minded personality, and devastating sexual charisma.
