I don't often read fanfiction that I thoroughly enjoy. Perhaps once every six months or something (not that I read very much of any kind). But I'm recommending Assets by Kaylie Lee. It's a Firefly story. It has sex in it, so don't read it if you don't want that. It also has Jayne behaving in a very boorish manner, tsk.
