Of the Pythons, Michael Palin and Terry Jones give me the impression that they have remained mentally agile and aggressive, while John Cleese and Eric Idle sometimes seemed complacent and tired. But, hats off to Idle, he's still fighting back. Bonus points for feminist subtext too: you've been listening to someone haven't you, Eric?
Incidentally - best funny songs. What are your favourites? Here are a few that just came to mind as I type.
Galaxy Song and The Bright Side of Life (Monty Python)
Trail of the Lonesome Pine (Laurel and Hardy)
That song about VD by Tom Lehrer (can't remember the title) - perhaps not the most obvious choice for humour but...
The Mike Flowers Pops' version of Wonderwall
Let's Do It by Victoria Woods. Oh man, the first time I heard this I laughed so hard
The Intro and the Outro by the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band ('Adolf Hitler on Vibes, looking very relaxed') this is great too
Come on - give me some more
