11:41 am - Planetarium Adrienne Rich died this week. Here is her poem Planetarium about Caroline Herschel, the 18th century astronomer.
every impulse of light exploding
from the core as life flies out of us Tycho whispering at last ‘Let me not seem to have lived in vain’ What we see, we see and seeing is changing

Thank you. That is a wonderful poem.
It's so good isn't it? I haven't read Adrienne Rich for years and it's a shame that it's only when someone dies that I go back to their work and realise what I've been missing. I was thinking exactly that. Thank you for link. It's a great poem, especially as one of my upcoming reading group books is Variable Stars by Christina Koning, all about Caroline Herschel. ![[User Picture]](http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/101464773/904887) | | From: | tehomet |
