01:21 pm - Redemption I can hardly do justice to the intense experience of being at Redemption. It's a very warm, inclusive, creative experience, run by fans with massive participation by every member, and this dizzying diversity of people united in the best way. So much going on that I can't begin to convey.
The people who made it happen deserve congratulations. In particular steverogerson and watervole and sugoll who are the backbone of the convention committee. Humbling, really, to see how much they did. Please note that the Redemption committee will be running Orbital 2008 (Eastercon). I can honestly recommend it to everyone on my f-list, sign up and you won't be disappointed. I can't stress this enough, and I really hope you are there.
A lot of my livejournal friends were at Redemption, and that was what made the weekend so wonderful. In addition, I am starting to recognise many of the other faces at Redemptions through the years, and I assume for better or worse they are starting to recognise me ('that loud mouth one') and give me a friendly vibe back.
I'll post about the monologues and the panels in a bit.

And cobrabay - he's in ops nearly all the time, so you don't see the massive workload he pulls. It was the best con we've done yet! (Has to be, because everyone smiled when they told me it was)
If he's the guy who was in ops, you are right, he did a great job. I went in there a few times with dumb questions, and he never seemed exasperated.
It may well have been the best ever, though they are all good. Kelvin did a grand job too.

Quite. And not only does cobrabay do huge amounts of work in Ops, he's always happy and friendly when people come in with problems - if they didn't have a problem, they wouldn't be coming to Ops - so even then, you don't see how much he's doing.
It was good to see you too.
Thanks yet again for being reassuring at me when I wibbled.
No problem. I hope it all resolved itself. It was nice to see you, though we didn't get much of a chance to talk.
Oh, it's totally resolved, thanks.
I failed to talk as much as I should have to a lot of people. I blame the wine (and those encouraging me to keep buying more bottles of it).
